The team will be competing in the 1205cc class for 1 piece handlebar equipped production based motorcycles. The class has been recently dominated by Ducati Multistrada riders, including last years winner Carlin Dunne who holds the overall motorcycle record over the treacherous 12.42 mile, 156 turn course at 11:11:329. The Team wforacingonline.com XR1200 will be only lightly modified from AMA Pro Racing spec to work better at altitude. The course start line is situated at 9,390 ft. above sea level while the finish line is at an incredible 14,110 ft. The team will be running an in-house designed wide range feedback fuel injection system using Innovate Motorsports components.

Team Principal Wes Orloff: ‘I am really excited to race the wforacingonline.com XR1200 at Pikes Peak this year. I will definitely be able to cross this one off my bucket list. Its going to be a huge challenge racing the big Harley up the mountain. With the help of our sponsors, I think we can make the XR competitive at altitude. We plan on taking our time learning the course and sneaking up on our race pace. There is just no room for error.' The 156 turn course includes the infamous ‘bottomless pit’ corner with zero run off and a 1700 ft. sheer drop, as well as track surface temperatures as low as 27 deg F (in July). ‘We will try our best, but the primary goal is to bring the bike back to Shawn (Higbee) in 1 piece!’.
