wforacingonline.com secures sponsorship to compete at Red Bull Indy GP XR1200 race w/Shawn Higbee riding

Milwaukee, Wi - The motorcycle racing community is excited with the news that there will be 2 AMA Pro Vance and Hines XR1200 races at the Red Bull Indianapolis Moto GP event on August 27th and 28th. As a current front running participant in the AMA Pro Racing Vance and Hines XR1200 series wforacingonline.com  intends to participate in this event with AMA pro rider Shawn Higbee at the controls. Team Principal Wes Orloff: ‘We are extremely excited about the opportunity to race in front of a world audience at the Red Bull Indianapolis GP. As this was a late addition to the AMA Pro Vance and Hines XR1200 series schedule, we had not budgeted for the event, but we have had some great sponsors and grass roots support step up to help out. We are lucky enough to be teaming with Indianapolis Southside Harley-Davidson, a 4 generation family owned dealership’. The dealership was started in 1947 in Indianapolis by H-D factory engineer George Schulteti, a fact not lost on Orloff, himself an engineer for Harley-Davidson. ‘It is great to be working with the family owned dealership with such a long history with the Harley-Davidson brand. I feel a personal connection and think our partnership is a great fit. It is very cool to be able to represent Indianapolis Southside H-D at the Red Bull Indy GP’.

Individual enthusiast sponsorship for the team came from a surprising source: A Buell owners internet forum. Orloff: ‘A big thanks goes out to the enthusiasts at Badweatherbikers.com  who have helped our cause. Their support has been fantastic. Obviously Shawn has a lot of Buell fans out there that want to see him do well. They have helped out previously on Buell Daytona 200 efforts and the Roadracing World Action Fund, so its great to be able to represent these enthusiasts with a history of supporting racing.’

Higbee’s comments: I am excited to be racing the Indianapolis Southside Harley-Davidson XR1200 at the Red Bull Indianapolis GP. I think the racing will be close and it will be awesome to be in that pack of Harley’s running down the front stretch for the first time.

Looking to secure sponsorship to compete at Red Bull Indy GP XR1200 race

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - The motorcycle racing community is excited with the news that there will be 2 AMA Pro XR1200 races at the Red Bull Indianapolis Moto GP event on August 27th and 28th. As a current front running participant in the AMA Pro Racing Vance and Hines XR1200 series, our team, wforacingonline.com, intends to participate in this event with AMA pro rider Shawn Higbee at the controls. We are excited about the opportunity to race in front of a world TV audience numbering in the millions. As this was a late addition to the XR1200 series schedule, the team hasn't budgeted for the event. We are working hard to prepare and secure funding for the Red Bull Indy GP event. We feel we can offer our primary sponsors a very high value marketing opportunity in front of a world Moto GP audience. Our team is made up of professional motorcycle engineers and racers, and has been extremely competitive in the limited number of races we have run with Shawn. Of the 3 AMA Pro Vance and Hines XR1200 races Shawn has run, he has podiumed in 2nd place at Mid Ohio in 2010, led the 2011 Road America XR1200 race, finishing only 0.600 seconds from the winner, and qualified a competitive 3rd at the Barber round. We feel we can be very competitive at the Red Bull Indy GP with the right backing. The professionalism and winning results demonstrated in the past by our team would be an asset to represent a primary sponsor on a world stage. For more sponsorship information regarding wforacingonline.coms Red Bull Indy GP Vance and Hines XR1200 series race entry, including Red Bull Indy GP demographic information, Shawn’s impressive racing resume, and a photo from Road America event please contact Wes Orloff @ wes@wforacingonline.com. We look forward to being able to promote our sponsors at this exciting, high visibility event and put Shawn and the wforacingonline.com XR1200 on top of the podium at Indy!

Racing, Racing, & More in June

Every weekend in June was a race weekend for WFO RacingOnline.com. Drag Race demos, AMA ProRacing Team at the AMA ProRacing event at Road America with a spectacular showing with Shawn Higbee and friends, and then onto two more AHRMA weekends at Road America and Grattan Raceway in Behling, MI. We took some of July to recover, and then started the madness again with a rally to try to support the V&H XR1200 AMA ProRacing series at the MotoGP in Indy this August. This will be some write up of the craziness this summer that Wes will owe us in his race reports, but we’ll keep blogging to try to keep up with all madness of trying to hold our full time day job, raise two toddlers, and support our grass roots racing team. A special thanks goes out to everyone in advance, we are still getting last minute help up until race time it seems! Thanks again for sticking around and keeping up with our happenings!

Shawn Higbee teams with WFOracingOnline.com for Road America XR1200 race

For immediate release 6/3/11, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin

Higbee gathers sponsorship to race XR1200 at Road America

wforacingonline.com is pleased to announce they will be participating in the Vance and Hines XR1200 series with veteran AMA Pro and former Buell test rider Shawn Higbee at the controls of their Mukwonago, Wisconsin based XR1200. Team Principal Wes Orloff: " We are really excited to have Shawn Higbee on our bike at our home race at Road America this weekend. Things came to together late, but Shawn's talent is unquestioned and he has a million laps around this place. If we can give him a good bike, we think we can get a good result." The team is made up of former and current Buell racers and/or employees. Orloff: "We have a great team in place. A lot of us have worked with Shawn professionally in the past. This will be a big advantage for setting up the bike with the limited seat time we will have this weekend".

Higbee comments, "I'm really looking forward to working with the team members that Wes has put together for  this weekend.   Racing against an entire field of XR1200's on the long Road America straights should create very close racing with lots of draft passing."

WFOracingOnline.com would like to thanks the following sponsors for their support to compete in the AMA Pro Racing Vance and Hines XR1200 race at Elkhart Lake on Sunday June 5th.

AHRMA Barber on a Guzzi...

It’s not often that a race bike has me second-guessing my meager skills and questioning if I'm man enough to ride it.   However, as owner Stan Friduss activated the remote starter and the heavily breathed-upon 1000cc engine of his 1976 Moto-Guzzi Lemans Superbike exploded to life, this was my exact thought process. Every head within earshot turned towards the pit. I approached cautiously as the bike settled into an angry, spitting idle, courtesy of its gaping DelOrto smoothbore racing carbs.  It seemed as if the machine was pissed off for having been awakened. Read Article...
